My Internship at NaturalMotion
From early July until mid-September 2019, I interned at NaturalMotion as a Software Engineer. I was integrated into a CSR2 feature team where I worked alongside other programmers as well as artists, QA testers and designers on a new, currently unannounced feature for the game.
- Implemented various parts of the feature such as user interfaces, metadata structures and telemetry based on design specifications, user stories and artist mock-ups (where applicable).
- Provided code support to artists for UI redesigns and animations.
- Fixed and tracked over 40 bugs logged on JIRA.
- Participated in daily scrums, and bi-weekly sprint planning, sprint review and sprint retrospective meetings.
All in all, the internship was a lot of fun and a great learning experience! I got to work alongside some truly amazing people and to make something that I’m really proud of. I can’t wait for people to see it when it’s ready. Stay tuned!
